Night Porter

Rosewood Matakauri is an alpine lakeside retreat nestled in one of the world's most serenely beautiful landscapes.

Spectacularly situated on Lake Wakatipu and only seven minutes from Queenstown.

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for the right person to join our team.We are currently seeking a permanent full time Night Porter to be responsible for the overnight functions of the Hotel.

Shifts will usually be 8 to 9 hours long between 7pm and 7 am, depending on operational requirements.What you will do : You will have full responsibility for Hotel\'s security and guest requirements overnight.

In addition, you will be -Welcoming late night or early morning guests, answering telephones, delivering messagesResponding to any emergenciesPatrolling the hotel and groundsCleaning public areasSweeping, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures and fittingsRemoving rubbish and recyclingCleaning fireplacesMaintaining kitchens, washing dishes and cooking utensils, and cleaning appliances, cupboards, counters, pantries, and floorsAttending to any late-night guest requests; preparing and cooking meals, and serving food and beveragesWhat you will bring : The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong customer focus, who is honest, responsible and capable of working unsupervised.

This is a hands on role with lots of variety.

The successful candidate will have -A passion for service delivery and the hospitality industryAn understanding of guest expectations and changing expectations, gleaned from at least 3 years\' experience in a hotel environmentService experience across a variety of hospitality roles, including but not limited to housekeeping and food & beverageA high degree of honesty and integrity - the hotel is in your handsExcellent presentation and strong communication skillsA high level of attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills (you will need to be self-motivated too)Flexibility and maturity in approachReliability and accountabilityThe ability to respond quickly and calmly in an emergency situationThis is a full-time position (minimum 30 hours per week).
