English Teacher

OverviewChrist's College is seeking a full-time, fixed-term teacher of English commencing at the beginning of the 2026 academic year (ie 2 February 2026) and terminating on 5 December 2026.

There may be a requirement to start on 29 or 30 January to support new staff induction.

The fixed term is to cover a staff leave of absence from the English Department for the duration of the 2026 academic year.The successful candidate will join an established and well-resourced area.

Applicants should be willing to be involved in the co-curricular and mentor programmes of the College.

Subjects to be taughtEnglishHealth and physical educationLearning languagesMathematics and statisticsScienceSocial sciencesTechnologyTe reo MaoriThe artsThe successful candidate will have the ability to teach for Y9–12 English (NCEA Levels 2 and 3) and the competence to teach other subjects.
