About the Role : This is a full-time position based in Auckland, with a minimum of 30 hoursof work per week.Role Requirements : Valid Class 5 driver's license or able to obtain one.Ability to work fl exible hours, including early mornings shift s.Driving Experience of 1 year or more preferred.Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role.Clean driving record.Successful completion of pre-employment drug testing and criminalrecor reference checks.Key Responsibilities : Safely operate Class 4 / 5 vehicles to transport goods as assigned.Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are inoptimalcondition.Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies.Carryout daily vehicle inspections encompassing mechanical, safetyand emergency equipmentEnsure Road User Charges (RUC), Registration and COF are up to dateComplete logbook accurately and in a timely mannerEnsure truck is loaded appropriately and materials recorded correctlyEnsure all loads are secured appropriatelyEnsure all loads comply with height, weight and width specifi cationsAlways travel within speed limits having consideration for roadconditions, other road users, weather, cargo, signage, and the environmentAlways drive in a courteous mannerReport any traffi c infringements immediately to your supervisor ormanagerReport any incidents, damage or accidents immediately as per company requirementsCompetently care for equipment ensuring truck is kept clean and wellpresentedMaintain accurate delivery records and communicate eff ectively withthe dispatch team
