Join our Data Operations team, a collaborative group of Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and Data Analysts within the Insights and Evaluation function.
We're building a modern, scalable data ecosystem using Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Azure DevOps, AI Foundry, Purview, and Power BI to drive data innovation and operational excellence.
This is a high-impact role where you will work at the intersection of business, data, and technology, helping shape how WorkSafe NZ uses data to improve workplace safety outcomes across Aotearoa.

About the role / O te turanga
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Architect to join us permanently and lead the design and evolution of our enterprise data architecture.
You will be responsible for unifying diverse datasets into a governed, scalable data platform that supports analytics, AI, and operational reporting.
In this role, you will be a key partner to the Head of Data Operations and the Enterprise Architecture function and collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and IT leadership to ensure our data architecture is robust, future-ready, and aligned with strategic goals.

Salary range / Awhe utu
As part of our remuneration framework the full salary range for the position is from $138,259 to $182,456, and our expected starting base salary for the right person is from $138,259 to $152,991.
Note : KiwiSaver / SSRSS employer contribution is additional to / on top of your base salary.
