An amazing opportunity is available for a passionate kaiako to join our whanau at Te Puna Reo o Pukehinahina in January
We are seeking a Full-time Qualified kaiako to be part of our team and provide quality Early Childhood Education in a kaupapa Maori, partial immersion setting.
We are passionate about Te Ao Maori and nurturing our tamariki to stand strong in their tuakiritanga "Ko nga Kohungahunga te iwi maori o apapa."

Our ideal new Kaiako will :
Possess a sound understanding of Tikanga Maori and preferably be proficient in Te Reo Maori or otherwise show a strong Commitment to develop their Reo
Have a Current Teaching Council of Aotearoa Practising Certificate
Have at least three years recent experience working on the floor within ECE; Qualified and Un-qualified experience applies.
Have excellent communication, planning, documentation and organisation skills.
Show enthusiasm and a strong desire to make a difference to children in their early years while building strong links with their whanau and wider hapori.
Be a passionate, committed, team mate who adds their strengths, skills and matauranga to our Puna, while wholly supporting and fostering the development of their peers.
Have great problem-solving skills, show calm in the face of a storm, be compassionate and be committed to upholding quality practice standards and the principles of Te Whariki.
They will have knowledge and understanding of current early childhood education theory, in particular regard to Te Ao Maori Philosophy as well as Brain Development and Neurodiversity Research.
