We are on the lookout for great instructors at all of our SwimWell facilities for term 1 2026 - WRAC (Kilbirnie), Freyberg, Karori, Keith Spry (Johnsonville), and Tawa.
SwimWell runs year-round swimming education programmes for all ages,from infants to adults!
You do not need to be an experienced swim instructor aswe provide full trainingfor all our instructors.
You do need to be over the age of 16; have excellent communication skills, a positive can-do attitude, enjoy the water and love working with kids. If you are passionate about making a difference, lowering New Zealand's drowning rate and think you would get a buzz out of teaching our tamariki an essential life skill then you should join our team!
We can offer you permanent part-time hours during school terms (a range of weekdays available), a fun and friendly atmosphere, teaching skills you can take anywhere in the world, possible job advancement through to leadership positions and the good feeling that comes with helping others.
We have inductions regularly throughout the year for part-time Aquatic Education Instructors to join the team at one of our pools across Wellington. We have a variety of shifts available.

To be eligible for this role, you must be over the age of 16 and must have unrestricted legal rights to work in New Zealand and must be residing in Wellington in 2026.
You are also required to attend one of the training weeks in late January 2026
