Job Overview

Assist the Dual Service Manager with compliance, staffing, health and safety, and maintain high levels of customer service. Manage the control room and internal systems (fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV). Oversee the Wellington Square Shopping Centre Guest Safety, Car Park and Vigilant site‑based team ensuring 24 / 7 operations. Communicate key issues affecting business operation and customer service delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Dual Service Manager with compliance, staffing, health and safety, and maintain high customer service standards.
  • Run day‑to‑day control room operations and manage internal systems such as fire alarms, intruder alarms, and CCTV.
  • Provide support and day‑to‑day management of Guest Safety, Car Park and Vigilant site‑based team.
  • Communicate clear and timely information to all within the centre on key issues.
  • Ensure site security and provide a safe environment for public and tenants.
  • Serve as front of house and first point of contact for customer service enquiries.
  • Provide clear communication to the Dual Service Manager and team on incidents, updates, absence & lateness reporting, officer misconduct, and system faults.
  • Handle manpower provision, rotas, training, coaching and audits.
  • Ensure incidents are logged and managed to completion.
  • Maintain security standards for access / egress, visitor regulation, dress, safety, and presentation.
  • Spot hazards, report safety issues, and keep knowledge of equipment standard.
  • Fulfil contractual requirements and notify line manager of issues.
  • Develop and maintain good working relations with tenants and other teams.
  • Address comments / complaints and provide excellent customer service.

Main Duties

  • Check compliance, toolbox talks, and training.
  • Help with staffing and rotas.
  • Check daily tasks are completed and logged.
  • Maintain all common and public areas of the shopping centre.
  • Execute emergency and evacuation procedures.
  • Log and report officer time and attendance.
  • Ensure health, safety & welfare of the site‑based team.
  • Manage incidents that affect clients and the company.
  • Maintain building security and safety.
  • Provide a high standard response to telephone and email enquiries.
  • Skills / Experience Required

  • CCTV licence is essential.
  • SIA Door Supervisor licence is desirable.
  • First Aid certification.
  • Relevant industry experience.
  • Ability to contribute to the team’s operation and work on own initiative.
  • Effective communication at all levels within the organisation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all processes and procedures.
  • Decisive and assertive decision‑maker who prioritises action plans.
  • Excellent report‑writing and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Positive attitude towards dealing with people and taking on challenges.
  • Customer Service orientation.
  • Core Competencies

  • Excellent oral communicator.
  • Strong written skills for reports, filling in D.O.B and logging incidents.
  • Commercial awareness of cost implications for decision‑making.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
