Andy sustained a traumatic brain injury and requires some support in everyday life.Location : CanterburySalary : £
He lives alone in a bungalow close to family and has a support team that visits daily to support Andy with his cognitive needs.
Andy can at times be forgetful or needs support to plan and initiate activities he enjoys doing, so the role would be supporting Andy with this.
Andy enjoys eating out and attending activities such as the cinema or groups, and as a support worker, you would assist Andy to attend these and often join him.Role OverviewAlthough Andy does not require any physical assistance, he requires assistance with his cognitive needs, so the role involves assisting Andy in planning his week and guiding and prompting him with daily activities so Andy can be as independent as possible.Shifts are Thursdays
You'll have great experience supporting a client with a disability and understand the importance of promoting Andy's independence.
You will be an excellent team player and enjoy working in a home / family environment.What's great about this jobAndy is such a lovely young man and will be a pleasure to work with; most of his team members have been working with him for many years.
The job comes with excellent ongoing training; 3 monthly supervisions, and online courses.
