Our Opportunity

We are looking for multiple Packer Operators at our Yoplait site in Palmerston North. The role of the Operator is to operate and monitor the equipment to produce high quality products in accordance with the production plan. The role will be required to complete equipment checks, meet agreed productivity and waste reductions targets and maintain a high standard of cleanliness around the plant.

Key accountabilities of the role include

• Perform routine operation of equipment necessary for the packing of yogurt and dairy product following standard operating procedures (SOP)
• Ensure materials are prepared necessary to undertake packaging and coordinate with the Storeman when needed.
• Ensure smooth operation of forklift to transport pallets and ensure machines are kept "charged" ready for use, following standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Ensuring packers are correctly setup and refilled regularly with cases, labels & glue.
• Checking for correct labels, best before date and packaging quality.
• To ensure preparation of fruit bags (including lifting : 15kgs), writing of codes, filling up the fruit sheet and ensuring putting back in cool store returned fruit bags.

Shift Pattern :

Monday to Friday rotating shifts. Shift times :

Week one : 12am to 8am

Week two : 4pm to 12am

Week three : 8am to 4pm.
