Job Overview

The Dog Daycare Facility Manager will oversee and run the day‑to‑day operations of the dog daycare, ensuring the well‑being of the dogs and managing a team of day shift workers, volunteers, and helpers. The role includes living onsite in a shared house with four bedrooms; you will have your own private room and work closely with volunteers who also live in the house as part of a work‑in‑exchange‑for‑accommodation arrangement.

Living Space

Semi‑modern, clean house on a flat‑mate basis with private single rooms or a double room available. You may share your bedroom with dogs at night as part of your duties and may need to stay at the facility during weekends based on a roster.

Support and Management

You will receive support from your flatmates (who are part of a work‑in‑exchange‑for‑accommodation arrangement) and will need to manage them to utilise their help effectively.

Environment

The accommodation is located on a serene farm nestled in nature, offering a peaceful setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the dog daycare facility.
• Supervise and coordinate day shift workers, volunteers, and helpers.
• Ensure the safety and well‑being of all dogs in the facility.
• Handle administrative tasks, including scheduling, record‑keeping, and basic communication with dog owners (more complex customer interactions are managed by our customer manager).
• Maintain a clean and organised facility.
• Communicate effectively with staff, volunteers, and dog owners, both verbally and in writing.
