What you’ll be doing :
As our Orchard Foreman, you’ll lead the way in producing premium apples while managing and motivating a high-performing team. You’ll be hands‑on in daily operations, working closely with experienced professionals in a collaborative and growth‑focused environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Maximise the efficiency of daily orchard operations.
- Implement effective company policies as directed by the Orchard Manager, particularly regarding orchard husbandry techniques.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation.
- Manage and motivate orchard staff effectively, in alignment with company human resource policies and procedures.
- Maintain, demonstrate, and promote safe workplace standards by adhering to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Perform general orchard work as required.
What you’ll bring :
Proven experience in large‑scale horticulture and orchard operationsConfident leadership and supervisory abilitiesStrong knowledge of orchard technologies and systemsExcellent communication, time management, and organisational skillsFamiliarity with machine operation and maintenanceExpertise in tree husbandry and people managementKnowledge of pest control, disease management, and chemical useBasic skills in accounting, business, and financial operationsLegal eligibility to work in New Zealand and ability to pass pre‑employment checksWhat we offer :
