EAP Services, which is part of the wider Habit Group, is seeking a dedicated professional to join our EAP Services team in the heart of Wellington CBD.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support individuals and workplaces with high-quality counselling and wellbeing services, all while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
This is a permanent position for a counsellor with preferably 5 years post training experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver focused interventions so that clients are equipped with coping mechanisms at work and in life
Visit worksites to provide support after an event disruption
Deliver counselling services via in-person, video and telehealth
Deliver training to customer employees

The ideal candidate
A strong sense of others – sensitivity and empathy as core traits
Current APC with NZAC, DAPAANZ, SWRB or NZCCA
Tertiary level 7 Counselling or related qualification and a minimum of five years of post-study experience in general counselling
Knowledge of evidence-based therapy models e.g. SFT, CBT, FACT to provide interventions to children, young adults and adults, including couples counselling, EAP leadership and mentoring and employer-referred mandated programmes
Ability to work independently and attend on-sites for psychological first aid
Experience in trauma intervention, psychological first-aid
