Wellington CAMHS has an excitingopportunity for you in the heart of beautiful Wellington City as we develop ourservices to better meet the needs of young people (infants to 18 years old) andtheir whanau / family.
About the Role
We are ideally seekinga registered experienced Psychologist.
The preferred applicant will beinnovative, have previous mental health experience, work comfortably withmultiple clinical presentations, be willing to learn and be involved indeveloping a service that benefits the client, their family and the staff workingwith them.
Or you could be new to mental health and keen to learn about workingwith families and young people.
An interest andexperience in neurodevelopmental assessments, group work, family therapy,trauma skills, DBT, EMDR, ACT, Schema Therapy will be highly valued.
Ongoingtraining and extension of skills will be supported.
You will be a team player, enjoyworking alongside other disciplines, adding value to each other - s work.
Youwill be self-motivated, enjoy working autonomously, and collaboratively, whilemaintaining calm in a demanding service.
Excellent clinical and case managementskills, and skilled with managing risk are essential skills.
An interest inworking relationally within the team, wider services and community are integralto this role.

The WellingtonCAMHS team is a passionate and enthusiastic multidisciplinary team with acommitment to providing excellent services in assessment and intervention forinfants, children and young people alongside their whanau / family, with moderateto severe mental health concerns.

About you
Duties
We are seeking registered experiencedPsychologists who can bring a variety of skills, expertise and passion including :
assessment and treatment of infants, children, young people and theirimportant whanau / family relationships.
Risk assessment and management.
Group work, specificinterventions according to your discipline skills.
Contribute to the growth and work within the multi-disciplinary team.
Liaison and collaboration with community agencies.
Complete all documentation within time requirements.
Provide supervision.
Skills andexperience
NZ Registered Psychologist,with a current annual practicing certificate.
Experience in assessment and therapeutic skills andcompetency working with children, adolescents and their families withsignificant mental health difficulties is preferred.
Demonstrated ability and proven ability of workingwithin a multi-disciplinary team, and skilled and committed to communityliaison.
The ideal applicant will have experience in mentalhealth, ideally the child and adolescent mental health sector
An interest or experience in group work, EMDR, DBT,family therapy, and trauma would be valued.
Knowledge and understanding of the intent of TeTiriti o Waitangi and work to address the inequitable health outcomes forMaori, as Tangata whenua and other high needs groups.
Hold a Full NZ drivers licence.
