  • Location : Ellerslie (Regular travel required across Auckland and Northern district)
  • Salary : $106,416 - $117,782 based on experience
  • We are seeking experienced practitioners who have good operational experience and a passion for working with tamariki and rangatahi with high and complex needs.You will be a strong communicator with high EQ who enjoys complexity and can engage effectively across multiple settings and agencies. You will thrive in a team but also be able to work independently. You will have strong cultural competency and a background in disability, education, mental health or other relevant discipline.
  • Mō te tūnga | About the Role :
  • Join our High and Complex Needs (HCN) Interagency Unit, where we collaborate with multiple government sectors and non-government agencies to develop effective and individualised solutions for tamariki and rangatahi with high and complex needs.As an HCN Specialist, you will develop tailored plans that meet the specific needs of tamariki and any identified service gaps. You will lead the coordination of the interventions that you have developed in collaboration with the key agencies. You will ensure that plans will build skills and promote a positive future for tamariki and their families.This role balances people engagement and administrative responsibilities, requiring sound operational knowledge, strong self-motivation, highly developed organisational skills, and advanced communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to work in an agency that demonstrates best practice in terms of collaboration across government.
  • Key Responsibilities :
  • Collaborate closely with professionals, whānau and tamariki to create intensive support plans that acknowledge needs across various life domains such as cultural identity, educational needs and wellbeing.
  • Coordinate services and interventions to foster positive changes.
  • Produce high-quality documentation and reports for stakeholders.
  • Build respectful working relationships across various agencies.   • Ngā pūmanawatanga ōu | What You Will Bring :
  • You will need to have strong credibility and relationship management, and technical skills related to working with tamariki and rangatahi which will allow you to engage and influence at all levels. You'll be a high-level communicator capable of providing best practice advice and manage complex relationships with stakeholders.
  • 5+ years of senior-level clinical practice experience in disability, education, mental health or social services.
  • Knowledge of best practice in early intervention and the wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Experience in inter-agency collaboration and across different sectors.
  • An understanding of government processes.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Leadership experience and a commitment to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
  • Cultural competence.
