Position Overview
The Mechanical Engineering Technician supports engineers in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
This role involves hands-on technical work, including prototyping, drafting, troubleshooting, and quality control, to ensure projects meet performance, safety, and industry standards.Key Responsibilities
Assist mechanical engineers in the design and development of mechanical systems, components, and equipment.
Prepare detailed drawings, 3D models, and technical documentation using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Assemble, test, and modify prototypes and mechanical systems to evaluate performance.
Conduct inspections, measurements, and diagnostic tests on equipment to identify issues and ensure compliance with specifications.
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical systems and machinery.
Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing teams, and other technicians to improve product design and processes.
Support quality assurance activities by conducting tests and recording results.
Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and logs.
Ensure adherence to safety regulations and industry standards during all activities.
Qualifications & Skills
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineering Technician or similar role.
Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Hands-on skills in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of industry safety standards and compliance regulations.
Good problem-solving, analytical, and technical reporting skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
