With a strong reputation for craftsmanship and innovation, we are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dedicated team.

The company owns the cold-bending metal processing equipment in New Zealand, specialized in multi-angle bending for arch structures.

It also has multiple machines for processing irregular construction materials, as well as welding and other related equipment.Job Requirements :

The RoleAs a Mechanical Engineering Technician, you will : Prepare technical drawings, production plans and designs for aluminium windows, doors,and related manufacturing processes under the direction of Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Technologists;Assist in the design, testing and improvement of aluminium fabrication equipment, tooling, and production systems;Select and maintain appropriate tools, machinery, and equipment used in aluminium cutting, extrusion, assembly, and finishing Assemble, install, and test new or modified mechanical assemblies, machine tools, and hydraulic or pneumatic systems used in aluminium manufacturing; Estimate material costs, quantities, and machine requirements to support factory production; Carry out field and factory tests on aluminium product systems and mechanical equipment to ensure quality and efficiency.

Collect and analyse technical data, carry out calculations,and prepare diagrams and reports for production and quality assurance; Organise and supervise the inspection, maintenance,and repair of machines and plant used in aluminium products manufacturing.

• Ensure all designs, production processes, and finished aluminium products comply with specifications, industry standards, regulations and contractual requirements.Train and supervise the equipment operators;

About YouTo succeed in this role, you should have : Qualification in Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years relevant work experience.Proven hands-on experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment.Strong problem-solving and technical skills.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

A proactive attitude and commitment to high standards of workmanship.
