About the Role
Waimakariri District Council is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to work within the Utilities Projects Team as part of the Project Delivery Unit, based in Rangiora, North Canterbury.
The Project Delivery Unit provides engineering design, delivery, project management and development consultancy services to the Utilities and Roading Department, Greenspace Team, and the wider Council.

In this key position you will take responsibility for :
Managing capital works projects to ensure they carried out in a timely, technically competent and efficient manner
Working closely with Council staff, consultants, clients and contractors to deliver outstanding results
Ensuring that the planning, investigation, design and construction of facilities is carried out in such a way that the environment is protected and enhanced
About You
Be a qualified Civil or Natural Resources Engineer, or hold an alternative relevant tertiary qualification with technical expertise in Engineering
Proven experience in project engineering, ideally in infrastructure or public works
Have strong technical, organisation skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
