About the Role
Thesuccessful applicants will undertake the Postgraduate Diploma of Health Science in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) through the University of Auckland.
Practical and limited theoretical tuition will be provided, however a large amount of self directed learning is required.
During thisrole you are rostered on site 40 hours a week to gain clinical experience in MRI, you will also need to undertake the hours required by the university of Auckland to complete the academic requirements outside of your normal workinghours.
Our busy tertiary hospital setting will offer you the challenge of performing a wider range of procedures involving acute, planned, inpatient, and outpatient workloads.
In this role, you will be responsible for :
Ensuringthat the MRI scanner operates effectively and efficiently
Producinghigh standard image quality
Managinga daily and weekly workload across multiple MRI scanners
Havinga strong focus for patient care and workflow
Deliveringa patient-focused service, with a best for patient - best for systemapproach
Demonstratinga commitment to professional development and knowledge sharing
About the Team
The MRI Service at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha provide patient centredcare across multiple sites.
We currently have four 1.5T scanners and one 3T spread across two sites.
We are a hardworking team who use professionalknowledge and skills to ensure the provision of a quality patient-centredimaging service.
