Overview
Archway Recruitment is seeking an experienced Intermediate or Senior Civil Engineer to join a highly regarded consultancy delivering practical and innovative land development and infrastructure solutions across the Wellington and North Island regions. This is a great opportunity to step into a role with variety, autonomy, and the chance to contribute to meaningful projects in roading, stormwater, wastewater, and water infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Delivering civil engineering design and documentation for stormwater, drainage, water supply, sewerage, and roading projects.
- Preparing drawings, reports, calculations, and technical documentation.
- Managing projects end-to-end — budgets, contracts, tender documentation, site observations, and construction monitoring.
- Liaising with councils, contractors, and clients to ensure design compliance and effective project outcomes.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships while achieving project and billing targets.
- Promoting safety and compliance across all stages of design and delivery.
About you / Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) or New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (NZDE) or equivalent.5+ years’ experience in civil engineering, ideally within land development or three waters design.Proficient in AutoCAD and 12D, with experience in roading, earthworks, or services design.Strong technical background supported by on-site experience (e.g. drainage testing, erosion and sediment control).Full, clean NZ driver’s licence and residency or citizenship.Open work rights in New Zealand.
