What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Revenue Operations Engineer to optimise Smartly’s go-to-market technology and processes. Working between the Revenue Operations and Marketing teams, this role enables data-driven decision making, automation of lead-to-revenue processes, and continuous improvements in revenue intelligence and forecasting. The Revenue Operations Engineer collaborates with data engineering, platform owners, and cross-functional teams to enhance Smartly’s revenue tech stack and drive operational efficiencies, ensuring that sales, marketing, customer success, and finance teams have the tools, insights, and systems needed to drive revenue growth.
What does the job involve?
- Ensure Marketing activity connects seamlessly to customer processes by supporting with :
- Lead scoring models to prioritise prospects based on engagement and fit.
- Lead routing rules so sales receives qualified leads quickly.
- Marketing automation workflows that nurture leads based on behaviour (e.g., email sequences, retargeting).
- Ensure our customer data is consumable by the marketing team for segmentation and automation by :
- Maintaining our data dictionary for all marketing data
- Building integration and data pipeline requirements documentation
- Supporting on customer-facing projects from a data lineage and governance perspective
- Support with campaign data and associations, URLS, tracking codes
- Support with Marketing performance by :
- Defining and tracking KPIs such as lead volume, cost per lead (CPL), marketing qualified leads (MQLs), pipeline created, and ROI on campaigns.
- Building dashboards in HubSpot, or Metabase platforms so marketing leadership can see real-time performance.
- Attribution modeling to understand which channels and campaigns are actually driving revenue.
What you will bring
Marketing & Revenue AnalyticsStrong understanding of marketing funnel metrics (MQL, SQL, pipeline, CAC, LTV, ROI).Ability to build and maintain dashboards and reports in CRM or BI tools.Knowledge of attribution models and campaign performance tracking.Understanding of customer lifecycle metrics and revenue forecastingTechnical Skills
Proficiency with CRM systems (HubSpot a bonus).Experience with SQL for querying data (Python for data manipulation is a bonus).Understanding of integrations technology like APIs and webhooks is a plus.Process & Workflow Optimization
Experience in lead scoring, routing, and nurturing workflows.Familiarity with sales and marketing alignment processes.Ability to document and improve operational processes.Experience with AB testing and experiment designCommunication & Stakeholder Management
Ability to translate technical data insights into actionable recommendations.Comfortable collaborating with marketing, sales, and leadership teams.What you’ll get
