Middlemore Hospital includes the National Burns Centre and is a major trauma hospital specialising in spinal and plastics.

• .Our Radiology department is large and diverse with state of the art medical imaging equipment that includes : 3 MRI Scanners 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners (4 from mid-
• General x-ray rooms, all with DRA specialist Radiology Theatre serviceFive CT scanners performing acute and elective CT scans, including Cardiac CTWe have a lot to offer : Ongoing commitment to professional development and educational opportunitiesOpportunities to train in specialist modalitiesA wide variety of workNew, modern state of the art equipmentVery supportive team environmentCareer progression opportunitiesAbout the RoleWe have three casual positions available to help support our growing MRI service with 8-hour shifts available on weekends and weekdays.

You will be required to hold a APC in the MRI scope of practice with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologist Board.Weekends shifts target additional capacity for outpatients with weekdays extended to include emergency, ward and critical care patients.

You will be given orientation on protocols and department systems so that you can interpret referrals and apply your clinical decision-making skills to adapt imaging to produce high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging.About the Team / Service / LocationWe currently have 3 MRI scanners located on or near the Middlemore Hospital campus with accommodation planned to open in July

The staff and trainees are clinically supported in the modality by a 2IC and Modality Lead, reporting to the MIT Team Leader.About youIf you have experience on the Siemens platform, are 1 year qualified and would like to consider future permanent opportunities then we would love to hear from you.
