This is a full-time role where you will : Work on a wide range of projects from architectural homes to commercial and public works.Collaborate with clients, architects and other disciplines to deliver practical and efficient solutions.Contribute to the development of the Queenstown office and help shape how we work together.Be part of a supportive environment that values collaboration and balance.Take up opportunities for professional development including digital tools and new ways of working.Enjoy the lifestyle of Queenstown with skiing, biking and the outdoors right outside the office.You will bringA Washington Accord recognised degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).3 to 6 years of post-qualification experience, including at least 2 years in New Zealand with seismic design.
Strong early-career engineers with the right mindset are also encouraged to apply.Confidence in managing small projects and an interest in stepping into medium scale project management with support.Experience in steel and concrete design and familiarity with analysis tools such as Robot Structural Analysis, SpaceGass or Etabs.A solid understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and standards, with awareness of international codes such as Eurocode, AISC / ASTM and Australian Standards.An interest in sustainable design and practical solutions.Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.Progress toward Chartered Professional Engineer status (or plans to begin).
Skills with Autodesk AEC software and Microsoft Office including Excel.New Zealand residency or a valid work permit, along with a full clean driver's licence.Why Join Chester?
