We’re seeking a Digital Platform Engineer as part of Sky’s Technology team to work on Sky’s world‑class streaming services, delivering fast, scalable and reliable systems that power Sky Box, Sky Pod, Sky Go, and Neon.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and operating services primarily using Java, powering high‑volume APIs and integrating with internal and third‑party systems.
• Designing and implement AWS cloud infrastructure components to support scalable, secure, and resilient platforms.
• Collaborating with software development teams to ensure the platform supports application workloads effectively and meets performance requirements.
• Playing a crucial role in architecting the Sky platform, considering scalability, fault tolerance, and security in all designs.
• Monitoring platform performance and availability, using tools and audits to proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Work closely with stakeholders—including product, CX / UX / UI, designers, architects, analysts, developers, and content specialists—to deliver Sky’s digital products.
