Location : Balclutha / BenharHours : Casual – minimum 4 hours per week, with additional cover opportunities

Fern & Thistle is a boutique accommodation just outside of Balclutha, offering luxury stays, a spa, sauna and a welcoming guest experience.

We're looking for a flexible and reliable Assistant Manager to join our small team.

About the Role

You'll be trained across all areas of our day-to-day operations, including :

Cleaning and preparing guest rooms to a high standard

Making beds and maintaining presentation standards

Answering phone calls and guest inquiries

Managing bookings and guest check-ins through our online booking system

Taking payments and handling basic administration

This is a hands-on role that requires initiative, attention to detail, and a friendly attitude toward guests.

Requirements

Must live locally in Balclutha or nearby

Flexible with hours and available for short-notice cover

Reliable, honest, and self-motivated

Comfortable using computers and learning booking software

Previous cleaning, hospitality, or customer service experience is an advantage

Minimum 4 hours per week

Additional hours available for manager cover and during busy periods

Pay rate based on experience
