Summer Project Assistant - Parks & Open Spaces (Nov 2025)

Support the Parks & Open Spaces team at Rotorua Lakes Council in managing parks, reserves, and recreation assets, contributing to community wellbeing.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include :

Assisting the Parks & Open Spaces team in managing Council's network of parks and reserves.

Supporting the maintenance and enhancement of assets to provide opportunities for play, active recreation, and sport.

Contributing to the protection of cultural, ecological, and heritage values within parks and reserves.

Assisting with recreation management in significant areas such as the Whakarewarewa Forest through partnerships with Iwi.

Helping locals and visitors enjoy recreational opportunities in and around Rotorua.

Working collaboratively as part of a team dedicated to delivering positive outcomes for the city and community.
