Are you early in your finance career and ready for the big break? For the right high‑performing finance associate this will be an extremely rewarding and commercially interesting career move. This role provides you the flex of WFH but also will see you engaging with and supporting a range of operating companies across NZ and Australia. There will be occasional travel to Australia.

Ideally you would be based in Hawkes Bay, as your manager, the Manager Finance & Operations ANZ calls this region home, and to build a team based here would be ideal but we are open‑minded as to where you base yourself.

This private equity‑backed holding company is well established with a substantive team in the USA, and a crew across ANZ that is now in real growth mode too. You will be working across the firm’s portfolio of ANZ operating companies, supporting M&A operational analysis, onboarding workstreams and working directly with the leaders of the operational companies to drive growth year on year.

Your work as a Finance Analyst will include :

• Building and maintaining financial models to track portfolio performance, identify risks / opportunities, and support decision‑making
• Acting as the key liaison between Lyra and portfolio companies – coordinating projects, collecting insights, and supporting senior stakeholders
• Leading and contributing to operational improvement initiatives across business functions (e.g. pricing, reporting, procurement, systems)
• Preparing clear, concise reporting and analysis for the parent company
• Providing ad hoc support to portfolio companies, including special projects and strategy development
• Supporting M&A activity, including financial review, operational analysis and refined operating and financial models to test scenarios and identify value levers
• Insight and review across month end activities, including budgeting and forecasting support
