The Opportunity

This position offers an exciting opportunity for our Wellington Branch as CablePrice, a long-standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier, has recently been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician / Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for a mechanical trades professional committed to providing quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance, and who is willing to go above and beyond in this critical support role.

To be successful in this role, you will need :

• Commitment to Health and Safety, which is our top priority at CablePrice. We prioritize looking after ourselves and each other.
• Heavy Diesel and / or relevant Automotive Qualification
• Experience with Tigercat equipment is advantageous
• Mechanical capability and technical skills, including diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles
• Excellent diagnostic abilities with analytical thinking to resolve complex issues
• Computer literacy and a customer-focused mindset
• A ‘can do’ attitude, resilient and reliable, much like our machines
