Overview
As New Zealand’s System Operator, Transpower operates the power system and connects generators to retailers through the wholesale electricity market. We manage the flow of electricity across the high‑voltage network to local line companies and large industrial customers, ensuring supply and demand remain balanced and the grid remains stable every second of every day.
Responsibilities
- Deliver business change projects that enable the energy future for New Zealand.
- Manage concurrent, complex, multiyear projects from business case to delivery.
- Support the Operations Process & Technology Improvement (OPTI) group’s investment plan, driving efficiencies and technology improvements.
Qualifications
Project delivery experience (waterfall & agile), including business case and benefits realisation documentation.Strong relationship‑management skills with internal and external stakeholders, achieving consensus and improving outcomes.Analytical ability to interpret complex problems, identify requirements, and develop alternatives.A degree and, ideally, a project management certification such as PMP from PMI.Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project) and workflow tools such as Jira.Benefits
