Salary : $118,390 - $143,639 + Kiwisaver + wellness benefits
We're looking for an experienced skilled and motivated Senior Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence (BI) Developer to join our dynamic, fast-paced team.
In this role you will manage large and complex data sets and develop data ingestion and data warehousing storage solutions.
You will provide recommendations and inform the use of technology helping to shape the future of data capability across the organisation.
As a trusted technical expert, designing scalable data ingestion and warehousing solutions, guiding technology choices, and mentoring others to grow their skills.
You'll play a key role in uplifting our team's technical capability and driving best practices in data storage, governance, and architecture.
Responsibilities
Design, develop and maintain robust data warehousing solutions, including data mapping and modelling
Create and maintain clear, high quality solution design documentation
Champion data governance and quality standards
Lead process mapping and optimisation initiatives
Mentor and coach team members to build technical capability
Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to deliver aligned data solutions

5+ years of advanced experience with relational databases and strong SQL Development skills
Proactive in mentoring and uplifting technical capabilities of peers
Proven expertise in SSIS package development and troubleshooting
Hands-on experience with both on-premise and cloud-based data warehousing platforms (e.g. SQL Server, Azure, Snowflake, Informatica, BimlFlex)
Familiarity with Azure DevOps source code repositories
Proven ability to build and optimise data pipelines, ETL, architectures, and data products aligned with business needs
Strong data modelling skills, including Dimensional Modelling and Data Vaulting tools
A proactive mindset for identifying and implementing best practices, automation, and scalable solutions.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into plain language for a variety of audiences
Must have legal right to live and work in New Zealand
Must be able to undergo MBIE's internal Privileged Access vetting process
