Mitre 10 Wellington Central is opening a new store in Tory Street, Wellington and we are looking for a team member to work in our new Paint Department. We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused individual to join our Colour Centre (Paint) Department and help customers select the right product while delivering exceptional service. If transforming a space or surface with colour is your passion, this is your destination.

Responsibilities

Provide product knowledge and guidance in the Paint / Colour Centre to ensure customers choose the right products. Deliver outstanding customer service and go the extra mile. Contribute to a fun, dynamic work environment and support colleagues as part of a team. Manage a varied and busy workload and offer innovative solutions where appropriate.

Qualifications

• Product knowledge of, or a background in paint
• A flare for colour and interior design
• DIY or trade related knowledge
• Ability to work as part of a team
• A passion for customer service excellence
• Ability to manage a varied and busy workload
• Physical fitness and ability to stand for long periods
• Enthusiasm and team spirit
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to think ahead and offer innovative solutions
