We require a self-starter, with proven drive and initiative to join our busy Despatch Team as a permanent employee at Red Stag Timber which operates Waipa Sawmill, located 5 minutes south of the Rotorua business centre.We are a positive and progressive business, and have a great team of approximately 420 staff and contractors that contribute to our success.

This role will work 40 hours / week, Monday to Friday .

The work day has very busy load out periods early morning and mid-afternoon that require high energy, a strong focus on accuracy and a methodical approach.You will be an outside person, physically fit with a calm, but assertive communication style.

Our ideal candidate will have previous industry experience and knowledge of timber products, and the safety requirements of this work environment.A "can-do" attitude and ability to enter data accurately is also needed, as part of a wider Despatch team.

Ideally, the preferred candidate will have :

Organisational and numerical skills

The ability to multitask and work to deadlines

Assertive verbal and written communications skills

A forklift license is preferred, but not essential.

A full pre-employment medical and drug test will be required, along with references from at least two previous employers.
