Laboratory Assistant

About the Role

Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) is a busy diagnosticfacility providing services to in-patients and outpatients at Health NZ | TeWhatu Ora Waitaha Canterbury within Christchurch. You'll be working for thelargest medical laboratory in the South Island which is also a majorsecondary / tertiary referral centre with a varied and challenging caseload. We have a modern and well-equipped lab including a good range ofspecialist equipment.

In this role, you will be responsible for :

• Registeringsamples into the Delphic LIS and carrying out processes required for thepre-analytical processing of samples.
• Interpretationand input of request forms.
• Checkingof data for accuracy and information.
• Answeringtelephone enquiries in our Lab line call centre.

About you

Skills and Experience

• Excellentinterpersonal and organisational skills.
• Theability to contribute to and improve personal and team performance.
• Dataentry experience, competent level computer skills is preferable.
• Familiaritywith laboratory processes and experience in a similar role.
