OverviewOpportunity to join the CBA Institutional sales teamAuckland NZ based role within the New Zealand team that sits in CBA Institutional Sales.
The team trades Fixed Income, Rates, and FX products with the Bank's institutional client base.
Clients include Superannuation Funds, Asset Managers, Central Banks, Hedge Funds, Commercial Banks, and other Financial Institutions.Do work that mattersYour role will be to provide sales coverage to the Bank's institutional client base.
You will have a mandate to provide both Fixed Income and Rates solutions to the clients, focused mainly on New Zealand domiciled clients.
You will work closely with the Institutional teams based offshore, as well as other teams within Global Markets, including Debt Capital Markets, Client Risk Solutions, Structuring, Syndications, Research, and Trading.
You will also work closely with other teams within IB&M, such as Client Coverage and Risk.Key tasks will include but are not limited to : You will provide Fixed Income and Rates coverage for a portfolio of institutional clients, along with other relevant portfolios.You will need to understand CBA IB&M client'sneeds and create risk management solutions for them.Have a full understanding of the FX, Rates, and Fixed Income markets.Provide accurate market feedback to Debt Capital Markets and other origination teams.Leverage AI and engage with the IB&M AI team to analyse client behavior and trading patterns, and improve sales workflow automation.Assist with on-boarding new clients to the Bank.Actively gather, maintain, and report knowledge and market conditions in order to meet client needs through idea generation and execution.
Maintain a continuous improvement approach for product, people, process, and systems.Leverage the Bank's strategic and economic research.Ensure accurate maintenance of all records and documentation.Work as a team player within a high-pressure environment.Qualifications and experienceWe are interested in hearing from people who : Are committed candidates seeking to build on a strong foundation developed in investment banking, a corporate or institutional bank, or a debt advisory firm.Further to this you will bring;Relevant experience working in a Markets Sales team.NZFMA and / or other relevant Financial Markets accreditations.Proven capability in Fixed Income products and Interest Rate Derivatives in the New Zealand market.Strong numerical and analytical skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Deep knowledge of client behaviour and motivations.Experience collaborating with trading desks.A strong understanding of Debt Capital Markets and Syndication.Additional informationThis opportunity will give you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business whilst being part of a team that is focused, smart, hardworking, and passionate about our shared vision to create the very best experience for our customers.
