My client, an established, growing engineering firm based in

Hamilton

is on the lookout for a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

to join their team.

With a strong pipeline of technical projects ahead, this is a great opportunity to take the lead on meaningful design work while enjoying variety, responsibility, and support.

You'll work across the full design lifecycle-from initial concept and client interaction through to delivery and commissioning-within a collaborative, technically capable team that values quality thinking, curiosity, and getting stuck in.

What You'll Bring

You're someone who's just as comfortable producing high-quality design work as you are contributing to project delivery.

Ideally, you'll have :

degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering

5+ years' experience

in mechanical design

Strong skills in

SolidWorks

; Inventor or AutoCAD also valuable

Experience with

FEA

, plant / equipment layouts, and component design

The ability to collaborate across disciplines and guide junior engineers

NZ working rights and flexibility for occasional project-related travel
