We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team!

About you

We’re looking for someone who thrives on technical excellence and can pair hands-on design expertise with strategic thinking. Strong leadership, confident communication and the ability to mentor other engineers are key. You will also have

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Mechanical Design Engineer role
• Experience in BHS, Automation or Materials handling
• Strong CAD skills (AutoCAD 3D / Inventor or SolidWorks)
• Excellent verbal and written communication and the ability to engage with consultants, present designs and problem-solve in a project setting
• Exposure to piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID) advantageous

About the Role

As an experienced Layout Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and optimsing mechanical layouts of automated baggage handling systems used in airports. This role involves producing 2D / 3D layouts, integrating mechanical equipment with building constraints, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements, and supporting project execution from concept through to delivery.

You’ll bring a wealth of experience in delivering practical design solutions from concept through to production. Your background will show proven success in working on complex projects, solving challenging design problems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in line with client requirements.
