Session facilitator

Wilton Playcentre is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic session facilitator to join our well-resourced and vibrant Playcentre Community for one session per week. You will work alongside our members and tamariki to guide session activities, facilitate learning using child led play and positive guidance. You will be a hands-on team member who encourages others to thrive; you will model Playcentre philosophy and good practice while supporting whānau to gain confidence to have a go themselves.

Days & hours :

Monday 8.45am–1pm, Tuesday 8.45am–2pm and Thursday 8.45am–1.30pm.

Each session includes a 30-minute unpaid break, with a total of 12.75 working hours. This is a permanent position, during school term time only.

The candidate must have :

• The Playcentre C3 qualification or the New Zealand Certificate in Early Childhood Education and Care L4 or a higher ECE qualification or a Primary Teaching qualification with the Playcentre Primary Teacher Bridging Award, for licencing purposes.
• A current First Aid Certificate or be prepared to complete this.
