Are you passionate about enabling secure and effective information sharing across government? We’re looking for a skilled and collaborative Senior Information Sharing Advisor – Coordination to join our Information Sharing and Privacy team at New Zealand Customs Te Mana Ārai o Aotearoa. This position is a full-time fixed term / secondment opportunity to 30 June 2026.
About this role
Reporting to the Manager Information Sharing and Privacy, you will be responsible for leading the NZ Customs response to information sharing requests from other agencies and organisations. You will triage, co‑ordinate and support new information sharing activities, including preparing and finalising information sharing agreements and other documents as needed, from the time that requests are received by Customs through to implementation. The role will also support the review and amendment (where needed) of existing agreements to ensure that the cohort is current and compliant.

Eligibility
To join Customs in any role you must be a New Zealand citizen or New Zealand permanent resident and be able to obtain and maintain an Organisational Security clearance. You must have a clear police record and pass a drug test. You must have a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed by the New Zealand Security Intelligence Service towards a recommendation of suitability for security clearance at a higher level.
