About the role

Nelson Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experiencedGeriatrician to join our multidisciplinary team on a fixed-term, up to 13-monthparental leave cover from early February 2025. This is an exciting opportunityto provide high-quality care to older adults in one of New Zealand's mostbeautiful regions. You will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensivehealthcare for older adults through acute care, rehabilitation, outpatientservices, and community-based programs. The position offers a rewarding mix ofclinical practice, service development, and team collaboration.

The Older Persons Health Service at Nelson Hospital delivers apatient-centred approach to care, providing acute inpatient services,outpatient clinics, and support for age-related health concerns. Ourmultidisciplinary team is committed to improving the quality of life for olderadults by focusing on holistic, compassionate, and evidence-based care.
