Painter and Decorator

Roshan Renovations & Decorating Limited needs experienced Painters and

Decorators to paint new and existing dwellings and commercial buildings.

Location - Auckland

Job type - Full-time; Duration - Permanent

Hours of Work  -  40 per week

(30 hours per week guaranteed)

Your role will involve

• Erect scaffolding and ladders, place drop sheets to protect adjacent  areas from paint and wallpaper glue splattering
• Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fix  woodwork, fill holes and cracks, remove dust and debris, smooth and seal surfaces
• Apply masking material over    surfaces which are not to be painted
• Select and prepare paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, thinning and drying additives
• Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays
• Work in a team selected by the Employer
• Clean equipment and work areas
• When necessary, supervise less experienced employees

Rate of pay - $33.70 to $35 per hour, for normal hours plus overtime hours

Required : minimum 3 years experience as a painter
