Delivery Manager - Design and Estimation

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Design Estimation Manager to lead our Central West Contracting division. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in delivering accurate and cost-effective design and estimation services that support the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of electricity distribution networks.

The Role

A key part of the Northpower team, you’ll provide leadership to our Design Estimators and engineers while driving high-quality outcomes across a wide range of projects. From HV and LV overhead and underground networks to substations, reinforcements, and new supply connections, you’ll be responsible for ensuring our design, estimates and proposals are delivered to the highest standards.

Based in New Plymouth you will :

• Lead, coach, and empower a team of Design Estimators to achieve agreed utilisation and productivity targets.
• Oversee the design and pricing of electricity distribution networks (HV / LV overhead and underground, substations, customer and capital works).
• Ensure accurate pricing that reflects resource availability and meets margin targets.
• Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, and internal stakeholders to resolve obstacles and deliver quality outcomes.
• Drive compliance with Northpower, client, and industry standards including HSQE requirements.
• Conduct project close-out reviews and implement improvement initiatives.
