The next Government Policy Statement (GPS) on land transport is expected in
GPS
GPS priorities, along with other rail, maritime, and aviation investments are considered as part of the annual Budget cycle, and the team coordinates advice to Ministers on this.
We're looking for an experienced people manager, with good financial acumen and strong strategic thinking to lead the team.
In this influential role, you'll provide expert advice on major government investments across all transport modes and take the lead in shaping the land transport investment system.
This position is Wellington based.

You'll bring strong, hands-on experience applying investment prioritisation frameworks, along with proven expertise in business case analysis.
Ideally, you'll also have practical knowledge of the land transport management system and how it operates within New Zealand's wider public sector investment landscape.

The base salary budget for this position is up to $226,557 per annum + KiwiSaver.
