We are looking for a Senior Piping Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering team, reporting directly to our Mechanical Design Team Leader.

Day to day you'll be responsible for the pipe routing, pipe stressing, checking piping isometrics, pipe support structural design, and checking the pipe support drawings.

Leading into the piping phase of the project you'll be maintaining the piping specifications and specifying manual valves.

Variety is on offer here as there's also the opportunity to design fired and unfired pressure vessels, designing ducting, stacks and tanks.

The role also involves sharing your knowledge and training team members.

Key responsibilities

Piping Design, including pipe routing, pipe stressing, checking isometrics.

Pipe support structural design and drawing checking.

Maintaining Standard Piping Specifications.

Specifying Manual Valves.

Approving manufacturing drawings and documentation.

Providing support to the Mechanical Engineering team and working collaboratively with our engineering and sales departments and customers.

Your background and skills

BE (mechanical).

Preferred CPEng registration.

Highly skilled using AutoPipe, NozzlePro, and can design supports using first principles.

Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously.

Experience with energy plant or general plant design.
