Overview
As our Senior Payroll Specialist, you'll be our trusted expert on all payroll matters.
You'll oversee complex payroll operations, ensuring every process is accurate and fully compliant with legislation and contractual obligations.
12 months fixed term, Viaduct Location.

What You'll Do
Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Provide expert advice and resolve complex payroll queries.
Maintain and reconcile payroll data, supporting audits and reporting.
Identify and drive process improvements and system enhancements.
Prepare and review complex final pay calculations, redundancy, and settlement payments.
Champion data privacy and confidentiality.
Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies (IRD, ACC, unions, auditors, etc.).
Signficant experience in payroll, ideally in large, complex environments.
Significant experience with SAP Payroll and SAP HCM.
Advanced Excel and strong MS Office skills.
In-depth knowledge of NZ employment and holidays legislation, PAYE, ACC, and parental leave.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of work.
Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
Relevant tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or HR (NZPPA certification desirable).
Requirements & Qualifications
Significant payroll experience in large, complex environments.
Experience with SAP Payroll and SAP HCM.
Advanced Excel and MS Office skills.
Strong knowledge of NZ employment and holidays legislation, PAYE, ACC, and parental leave.
Excellent numerical and analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaborative skills.
Relevant tertiary qualification in business, accounting, or HR (NZPPA certification desirable).
