Mō te tūnga | About the role

As Senior Advisor, Delivery Support Services, you will be part of a small team supporting a busy Directorate with briefings, information requests, written and oral questions and requests under the Official Information Act. We also coordinate complex pieces of work across the Directorate and support our colleagues across the Group with additional capacity, where we can.

We work in a fast‑paced environment with varied subject matter, closely supporting Government social housing priorities. This role is ideally suited to someone who is confident working at a Senior Advisor level, knowledgeable about the Machinery of Government and is experienced quickly coming to grips with new subject matter to producing consistently high‑quality advice.

Your responsibilities will include :

• Leading multiple pieces of work concurrently and managing multiple urgent deadlines.
• Leading and contributing to responses to sensitive or complex Official Information Act requests, Ministerial correspondence, oral and written parliamentary questions, advice to Ministers and select committees (including the Estimates Examination and Annual Review processes), reports to Ministers, and proactive releases in a timely, accurate and efficient manner.
• Collaborating with the Directorate and wider HUD for input.
• Ensuring that Ministers, Parliament, HUD business units, and the public are well served with timely, accurate, transparent, high‑quality information, advice, and support.
• Bringing a strategic lens to issue management, ensuring a range of perspectives are considered and consistency.
• Provide quality peer‑review support.

Salary range : $105,780 – $129,286 +3% KiwiSaver contribution

This is an 18‑month fixed term, Wellington based position.
