With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.Our Commercial Operations Group are a financial 'supermarket' delivering a broad range of solutions to support the Co-op across commercial finance, store ownership, funding, financial planning & management, data analysis & reporting, accounting & transactional services including payroll, AR & AP & master data solutions.Te Turanga – About The RoleThis newly created role within our Members Accounting Team, will drive the monthly close and statutory reporting processes, ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across our store network.You'll lead a team of accountants and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver best-in-class financial support.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that values fresh thinking, continuous improvement, and making a real impact across our business.Lead month-end and year-end close processes across the store networkDeliver accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.Mentor a team of accountantsProvide technical accounting guidance and support business changeCollaborate with outsource partners and internal stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement and finance transformation initiativesHe Korero Mou - About YouWith a professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA, CA, CFA) and NZICA membership, senior level experience ideally Big 4 or large enterprise – you will bring expertise in financial and management accounting, governance, and risk.Strong leadership with a natural flair for coaching and teaching, a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement, and the ability to roll up the sleeves and problem solve at grass roots level.You will have experience with SAP, MYOB, XERO and a passion for finance automation, innovation and be excited by change initiatives!
