About the Role
You will be the go-to person for commuters, visitors and other passengers as they travel from A to B - as you walk the length of the train and pass through each carriage during your journey, you will be responsible for making announcements, keeping people informed, answering any questions, de-escalating situations and operating the doors at each station. Please note this isn't a managerial role - you are responsible for the customers on board the train, their safety and comfort.
This is a permanent, full-time position and you must be able to work rostered shifts across the fortnight on a rotating basis, including weekends and public holidays.
Full paid training is provided and involves six weeks of classroom training at our Wiri depot (including first aid training) and six weeks of on-the-job training across the network. Uniform and PPE are also provided and no previous experience as a Train Manager is required.
This is a chance to work in one of the fastest growing industries in Auckland as our transport network continues to expand.
