Lead Kaiako - 3 to 4 year old room

We are a purpose-built, privately owned Preschool located in the wonderful community of Ashburton.

We have a strong focus on responsive relationships, the natural environment, and empowering children to be active participants within their learning.

To establish a high-quality environment that delivers expectational education and care, we need dedicated professionals working together with our families / whānau to offer children the best start on their learning journey.

This is a full-time role between the centre operating hours of Monday-Friday 7.30am-5.30pm (30-40 hours per week).

What we need from you :

• Fully qualified and registered early childhood teacher with strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of current Early Childhood Regulations, Te Whāriki and Health and Safety requirements.
• The ability to build and develop strong relationships with children, families and other staff.
• A strong understanding of planning and assessment practices, curriculum implementation and pedagogy.
• Understand and be committed to implementing the philosophy and core values within our centre.
• Strong organizational skills including time management and attention to detail.
• The ability to drive and maintain a positive team culture as well as having strong coaching and mentoring skills.
