We're looking for a proactive, forward-thinking Senior Advisor to join our Corporate team.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact on how the Department operates — ensuring our corporate policies are clear and effective, strengthening our business continuity planning, improving procurement processes, and supporting protective security functions.
As a trusted advisor, you'll help drive continuous improvement across our corporate operations, identifying smarter ways of working that simplify processes, reduce duplication, and deliver better outcomes for the organisation.
You'll work closely with colleagues in risk, security, and assurance to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to corporate governance and resilience.
What you'll do
Maintain and oversee the organisation's suite of corporate policies, ensuring they are up-to-date, accessible, and practical.
Lead the development and testing of our business continuity planning framework to strengthen organisational resilience.
Provide clear, practical advice on procurement processes, balancing compliance with efficiency and value for money.
Support protective security requirements under the Protective Security Requirements (PSR).
Champion process efficiency and continuous improvement across corporate operations.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation and wider system.
What you'll bring
Experience in one or more of : corporate policy, business continuity planning, procurement, or process improvement in a corporate or governance context.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to recommend practical, efficient solutions.
Excellent communication skills, able to make complex requirements clear and accessible.
Strong relationship management and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and stakeholders.
A proactive mindset, highly organised approach, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Knowledge of public sector processes, accountabilities, and governance.
