Café Manager

Located in the heart of Greenhithe, The Collins Café and Bar is a vibrant local caféknown for its freshly prepared food, premium coffee, and welcoming atmosphere.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Café Manager to join our team andoversee the daily operations of the café and bar.

Minimum guaranteed hours of work per week : 30 hours.

Maximum hours of work per week : 40 hours.

Tasks and Responsibilities : In this role, you will be responsible for : - Managing the day-to-day operations of the café and bar to ensure smooth servicedelivery.

• Plan menus with Chef or Cook.
• Hiring, supervising, training, and motivating front-of-house and kitchen staff.
• Preparing staff rosters and monitoring attendance to maintain adequate coverage.
• Monitoring stock levels, placing orders, and maintaining supplier relationships.
• Managing daily cash flow, POS operations, and banking procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and licensingregulations.
• Overseeing customer service standards and promptly resolving any customerissues.
• Monitoring sales performance, controlling costs, and assisting with budgeting andprofitability.
• Coordinating marketing activities, seasonal promotions, and community events.

Skills and Experience Required : To be successful in this position, you must have : - At least three years of proven managerial experience in a café, restaurant, orhospitality setting (in New Zealand or overseas); OR- At least a relevant NZQF Diploma Level 5 Qualification.
