Café / Catering Assistant + Barista

Full time, Permanent : 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 6 : 30am-3pm.

In this position you will be our team all-rounder. You will support the Chef manager in the kitchen to make sandwiches / salads for the cold cabinet, plating our daily lunch meals and assisting with baking and regular function food. Being able to prepare top quality barista coffee is a must.

This role needs someone who can multitask with the added duty of keeping the kitchen / café clean and hazard free including dish duties.

Located in the Plant and Food building, Mt Albert, you will be working Monday – Friday (6 : 30am – 3 : 00pm). Parking available on site.

To be successful we are looking for an honest and responsible person who can :

• serve beautifully crafted café style food to customers,
• operate Eftpos and POS machine with a smile,
• assist with food preparation and cleaning,
• understand a basic level of computer literacy,
• work hard as a reliable and loyal team player who can stay cool under pressure,
• utilise great communication skills and a can-do attitude,
• enjoy working with customers and keep them coming back for more.
